ranma Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 March 4,2019 after suffering a stroke the former 90210 star Luke Perry passed away.
Rodent Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Can't make this stuff up. They announce a 90210 "reboot" without him, and he has a stroke the same day.
espo Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Just read of his passing. I wasn't a follower of the show but did know a little about the characters and story line. Always sad to see someone lose their life, and so young also.
NYLIBUD Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Wow,that's too bad.I never watched 90210,but at 52,he was way too young to pass away from complications from a stroke.....RIP.
ewetwo Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Yes. Way too young. When you get older you realize you're riding on borrowed time. But 52. My mom died of cancer at 53. So I've already passed her by 10 years. You never know.
Joe Handley Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 (edited) That is horrible and way too young. Reason he wasn't on this new 90210 might be that he's been playing Archie Anderson's dad (yes, THAT Archie!) on some teen drama called Riverdale (yes, THAT Riverdale too...) since it started a couple years ago. Oh man that just really sucks. Were you guys close?Im really close to my dad,he's 81,and there's not a day goes by that I don't worry about him.I mean he does not look 81,more like 61.Very active,etc...Anyway,sorry about your loss.
iamsuperdan Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 I watched this show religiously back in the day. And he was my fav character. And I have one of those trendy tat quotes. And it's from him. lolz "May the bridges I burn light my way."

Not overly close, but his death hit me hard. I'm the same age now as he waswhenhedied and now I have the same issues, Herat problems. My mom died when she was 66. I at least got to say goodby to her, but she was unresponsive. Emphysema and liver cancer.
slusher Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 He is a year younger then me. I thought he was a good actor. Really sad ....
Rob Hall Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 He was only 3 years older than me, watched that show occasionally in college..had neat cars in the show..
espo Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Sounds like many here should make an appointment for a good Cardio check up. My birthday present in '02 was a Stent in the Artery called "the widow maker" with 80 % blockage. A flight of stairs would have my huffing and puffing like an old steam engine. Even if you're only 35 or 40 you really should be proactive about your heart health.

I was always very physically active and visited the gym at least 4 days a week. IN my early 40's my work hours were such that I had little or no time for the gym. What this does to most people who exercise regularly is that they no longer have the energy from working out and sitting at a desk you become very sedentary and in my case the cholesterol started to build up. I also have a family history of this problem so yes it became a very big problem for myself. Everyone of use has a different medical makeup but it is better to be proactive about such things. We lost a very good friend in his early 30's who was building a great life with a wife and two children. I had a coworker and friend that had a stroke shortly after my operation. He was about 5 years younger and it changed his personality and his temperament permanently. Heart health is nothing to be cavalier about, it is serious as a heart attack.
