cheyenne93 Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Some of you might remember my post on this last year. Its the 66 suburban I converted to 4x4 and the scratch built camper. So got digging through the stash and came upon them, and though, lets finish these. Going to be finished in matching light blue and white. As always thanks for looking.
thatz4u Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 finish them, looks like a fun build....then we can say" Are we there yet??"
misterNNL Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Great to see a growing number of camp trailers like this one. Please post finished photos. Thanks for sharing.
mikemodeler Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 I have one of the Modelhaus camper resin kits and was thinking about using the "Burban as the tow vehicle. This should be a nice set up when you are done, love the 4wd set up on this!
cheyenne93 Posted May 9, 2019 Author Posted May 9, 2019 Got some color on the Burban and the camper. Like the turquoise and white combo. Think the Burban is gonna look good in the same colors. Still more work to do.
Lordmodelbuilder Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Nice looking combo! I am building a phantom 4x4 Blazer from the 65 pickup kit & that is the same color I am using. Keep up the nice work!
mikemodeler Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 That is coming along nicely, love the color choices.
Rusty92 Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Great combo! Looks like an awesome tow set up and 2 beautiful vintage pieces of Americana.
DrKerry Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Very nice!!! Like the 4wheel conversion on the Burbon!!!
cheyenne93 Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Made a little more progress on the suburban and the camper. Got the window and door trim painted on the camper. Got the burban painted. Think I'm gona try building a roof rack for the suburban.
wrenchr Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 That looks very cool, I'd hate the MPG on the 1:1 towing the trailer..............
cheyenne93 Posted May 29, 2019 Author Posted May 29, 2019 Rite!! on the mpg. Shame fuel's not the same price per gallon as it was back then. Make those gas guzzler more friendly to drive. Thanks for the comments.

cheyenne93 Posted June 13, 2019 Author Posted June 13, 2019 Got interior pretty much done. Decided to change it to stick rather than three on the tree. Kinda fits the 4 wheel drive version better, I think.
espo Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Great looking conversion to four wheel drive. I like the color, it reminds me of the Forestry Service color and they used a light shade of grey instead of the white. Very cleanly built.
cheyenne93 Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 Finally got a chance to set back down at my desk. Got the roof rack built for the suburban. Think it looks pretty ok? Tried to make it look period correct? Gota do a little sanding and fitting yet, and paint.
disabled modeler Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Love them both...very nice work. I have wanted to build some campers for years now myself.
