1953 Studebaker Avanti...

Here she is, 53 Studebaker with an Avanti supercharged engine, color is Tamiya Mica Red, wire wheels, scratch built duel exhaust...comments welcome

Nice. You probably know the factory is said to have built 2 convertibles, and several more have been built by custom shops.

I like it! This is one kit that NEVER gets old. I sure wish though we could see new tooling of the 1957-'58 Golden Hawks. I have a loooong stalled project of a '58, but to see a brand new kit (Moebius??) would be a dream come true.

Nice work! Is that a Commander that you put an Avanti engine in? I built an Avanti kit a long time ago... I think it was this one:

Very nice looking build. Good paint and very nice interior. Makes you wonder why Studebaker didn't offer a convertible. Perfect engine up grade. A Study 289 cu in with about 10 lbs. of boost, hang on.
