[...]The interior tunnel & floorpan ended up reminding me of the VW "thing", a  basic utilitarian buggy that you may remember. I wonder if the some units still roll around today?

I've seen some Things that were tricked out.  Wish there was a kit of it.  For now, the Hasegawa Kubelwagen will have to do.  BTW:  Love the creativity on this, the hood hinge is cool, and the choice of colors is nice.

Well, my dad (his first car was a beetle) would say: "Was? Ein Käfer mit Front-Motor? Wassergekühlt??? Das ist Blasphemie!!!" I say this is awesome! Fantastic and very creative build!

Hi!

Thanks for the comments.

KK, please, can you translate "Wassergekühlt" for me... just to improve my culture... I think I know what it means in the context of the phrase, but not sure...

Water-cooled.

Bill said it already, it means water-cooled. I just love the sound those air-cooled engines have. I owned a Type 181 in my younger days (Think you call it "thing" overseas). But I guess a nailhead sounds cool, too!

Thank you gentlemen to help my nascent knowledge of the German language!

Heil!

Dear Claude, sorry to go a bit off-topic here but kindly, I would like to ask you to not use the "H"-word from your last post. I'm pretty sure it was meant to be a joke but it recalls bad memories of a certain era of the german history we all would like to be left in the past and which hopefully will never ever happen again...

Hi!

Understood. I did not know, however, that the word itself had that connotation, when used randomly. Sorry. Rest assured that it never crossed my mind it could be offensive.

Never mind, Claude. I was sure it wasn't meant the way like the crazy man with that silly moustache used it. The word itself isn't evil but as a salute or a greeting it is... well just a bit inappropriate. Forget about it and please build more of this awesome models!

Hi!

Thanks for the comments.

Some fellow modelers on an european forum observed that the "contemporary" mirrors (from a current Dodge Challenger) are a less than ideal fit with this car. They may have a point. I should had favored small "vintage" mirrors, I guess.

Hi Mark!

Thank you for the compliments. Now, if only my wife would direct such comments on me... LOL!

Yeah, that's a fun little bug in the sand with that Nailhead.  High HP and miles of beach.  Nice job.
