KJ790 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 I started this one with an AMT Tyrone Malone Papa Truck kit. I shortened the chassis and the cab, cut off the aerodyne roof, and made a new flat roof for the cab. I added some aluminum front wheels and resin 2-hole drive wheels, then scratch built the exhaust, intake, and fuel tanks. The engine and transmission were swapped out for a 3406 Caterpillar from a Revell snap kit. 1
Force Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 As usual you have the abillity to capture the "right look", totally awsome.
SpreadAxle Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 That is excellent. That aluminum steer/2 hole drive combo brings back so many memories.
DPNM Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Fantastic craftsmanship which made for beautiful build! This is extremely nice looking. And your photography is up there too.
vincen47 Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 Excellent work, as we’ve come to expect, yet unique. Your builds like this capture the essence of trucking of yesteryear. The grit, power, and pride that made us truck fans from the beginning - it all can be seen in these photos. They seem to come alive, you can practically hear the engine idle, and smell the diesel fumes.

Warren D Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 It looks great with the trailer! Looks like so many I saw back in the 80's.

Hmann68 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Absolutely fantastic build! Great realism, and great pictures too. Hard to tell it from a 1/1 ?
