johnyrotten
Did a bit more detail on the dash, some weathering on the exhaust and painted the engine/trans. Got carried away after moving the post for the front wheels, tried to make them look like actual spindles.

JollySipper
Final clear and polish is done! Somehow I got fish-eyes in the first try at the clear, ended up sanding it all down, respraying the red, THEN clearing again! Went over everything with Novus polish....... Looks like I need to clean just a bit of residue.....
PatW
Got the body on today with the boot lid, which I had to shave all round to get it to fit in the hole! Here it is open. Edited October 15 by PatW
PatW
In the 1960's when wheel-arch extensions were rife, we saw Ford Escorts for the first time using black rubber moulded versions, so I painted mine gloss black! rattle can man
brushed a second coat of paint on an interior for a Lindberg'32 roadster. Then reality of being only a week out from shoulder surgery hit. Note with the freeze warning tonight. I did pick the last of the garden before that. perhaps more time at the bench tomorrow.
Falcon Ranchero
Been very slowly starting my 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona kit, this past week I glued the nose on the front of the car in order to have it ready to spray paint, and have the undercarrige and the backs of the rims sprayed flat black already. Hopefully interior today, and the car tomorrow. Been getting chilly up here this past week but this weekend were's supposed to have one last burst of 21 degrees (celsuis). Haven't even set up the build station yet, currently occupied by school work and I've been busy with it for weeks. However, next week we get a whole week off school so I was going to get all my school work done before that week, so I can focus on the model kit and get 'r' dun. Also my "Birthday Week" as I turn the big One Eight on the 24th.

rattle can man
opened 3 stubborn paint bottles. I sanded some stubborn paint that won't strip, clogs sandpaper really fast/ seems impervious to sanding, seems to react with any paint you use over it, even another coat of the same paint. Slow healing process for my shoulder.
gtx6970
Been trying to get my garaged better organized.I bought an upright storage cabinets for various household stuff. Car parts . Tools etc etc So decided while I was there. Pulled a bunch of kits out to thin the stash down. As i truely dont see myself building them all. And organized the ones that will stay. At 65....I better get busy building. My taste gravitates to vintage drag cars. And Mopar factory stock stuff. Various kits of all makes and models. Ranging from early 30s to early 70s ...mostly old drag car kits White boxed kits are all old annuals ranging from 1958 thru about 1965. I've really thinned the pile way down from what it was 5 or 6 years ago. To maybe a 3rd of what I used to have. JollySipper
This thing's coming right along! The speed parts on the engine (header, dual carbs, and such) were donated to the project by my Vdub lovin' friend.........If it weren't for him, our hero car here would have a stock engine. The decals worked like a new set, even though they were 30+ years old!

Knocks on wood Summers here are quite warm But fortunately the house/ garage faces east. So it doesn't get the full blast when the sun is hottest. At least That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it Again....knocks on wood

Ace-Garageguy
I accomplished twice as much as last time I posted, but 2X0 still equals 0. I'll be shooting for 3 times as much for next time.
johnyrotten
Finally properly ducted my spray booth out the window. My home was built in 1940, where my work bench is located has the last 3 windows I've got to replace, so it took a bit of creative engineering. They aren't like a typical window, they actually drop down into the wall, no counterweight or spring assist. Most likely original to the house. PatW
Bought this recently as I enjoy seeing tracked vehicles, but don't enjoy building them. So I started back to front in building the cab first as the engine/chassis and track units look terrifying!
