Dioguy Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Got the walls built so next up is sheet metal, wall paint, and scratch build the electrical box.
PatW Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Starting Aoshima Ogre AN-21 a 6 wheel fantasy F1 car. 1
Modlbldr Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 My first bit of model building since my move from WA to KY two weeks ago. This build is nothing high detail since it was supposed to be a quick build during the move. Working at the dining room table again for now. Still have a bit more interior work to do on the 67 Impala lowrider. The door panels and dash are just sitting in place since I still have to chrome the door handles, window rollers and ash trays. Thinking of scratchbuilding an 8 inch chain link steering wheel. Later-
Modlbldr Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 Began making a chain link steering wheel for my 67 Impala. Bought a cheap necklace at Wal-Mart, wrapped the links around a bit of tubing and superglued the links and hit it with a bit of accelerator. Now to make the center spokes. Later- 1

I think there is a chain link steering wheel in the ‘64 Impala lowrider kit. It is pretty small diameter though.
NOBLNG Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 I picked this kit up on Sunday at a flea market. The diff was glued in upside down and the right front A arm support was glued in crooked. I stripped the paint off the body, fixed the errors and painted the parts yesterday. Today I assembled the wheels and wired the engine. 1

Yeah, I didn't have it and I got this idea floating around in all the empty space upstairs. Thought I'd give it a try. Later-
cobraman Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Couple of weeks ago I bought the Revell Super Stallion Mustang. It's the kit with the blue and white photo on the box. Anyway, I painted the body this week and was going to apply the decals today. The decal for the side broke into several pieces. I should have known and coated them. I will go forward with a different paint scheme I guess.
PatW Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 As I've now finished the Ogre Fantasy F1 car, I start on a rally car, a Hasegawa Lancia 037..
Doug 1061 Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 Made forward progress on an IH 4070. Got cab and a whole bunch of small parts painted. Also made progress on an AMT Great Dane reefer trailer. Got suspension together and slapped a coat of primer on it.

They will probably need coated too. At least it would give you another shot at it. Later-
cobraman Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Thank you Tom. I striped the paint already and decided to go a different route but I do thank you for the offer.

Doug 1061 Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Got some quality time in on my 4070A. I like how they made headliner/door panels as two pieces. Saves a buttload of of work masking and painting.
Brudda Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Built a 1/8 Agora Lamborghini Miura engine today. Really fun and it’s a nice looking engine out of box. It’s going in a 1/8 yellow Miura. 1

NOBLNG Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 I got some clear on the cobra. I got the kit at the flea market and it didn’t have any decals. I downloaded some pics of the badges from the internet, resized them and printed them on photo paper. I brushed a little clear lacquer on them to make sure the ink wouldn’t run and epoxied them in place. 1
keyser Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Repeat use, but very applicable here. Nice work on the Miura and CSX.

Either way nice work - looks like a piece of jewelry! Oh yes. But I have to build this out of box. I received this from Agora, no charge , to put it together and see if there are any issues. Out of box only. I just do as I’m told. I have a 1/8 supersnake that I built that way also but I’m going to take it apart, paint it a different color and detail it. It’s been over a year so I can do this now. They let me have freedom on their cobra. It comes blue with the white stripes. They asked how I would do it and they sent me the kit and let her rip. Here is a pic of the cobra. Completely different paint on the , wheels, rollbar and exhaust’s sidepipes. I tell it like it is on these kits. No hiding any issues. Yes I would like to go further on this but I cannot. Maybe in a year or so I’m going to do it different. I have plans for this. Here is the cobra. It’s far different than the stock model. 1

It’s a very nice paint job so it was hard to take it off and repray it red. 1
