Gramps46 Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Just found this old photo of my build of the original Revell Ford F100. Come to think of it, it might be the only stock '56 on the board. ? Fortunately it is a survivor though I need to check the tires and wheels to see if they are melting. 1
thatz4u Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Gary, great job on a kit that was difficult when new in 62...
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 I like that a lot. Nice simple as-built working truck.
Classicgas Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Well done. Have a stock one in the works myself.
DumpyDan Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Man that is one good looking build, and a tough kit. Beautiful truck!
Gramps46 Posted January 16, 2020 Author Posted January 16, 2020 Thanks to all for your kind comments. My memory of the build was that I ended up gluing the doors shut and the front axle spindles were very fragile. Boy that was along time ago.

Atmobil Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Great looking build. I have not seen many built stock like this before.
junkyardjeff Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 I did not know a stock version was made, the ones I built came with non stock tires and rims and if I done another would glue the doors shut.
Gramps46 Posted January 20, 2020 Author Posted January 20, 2020 I went digging into my files and found the instructions for this Revell F100 kit and as Al Rich said above they are copyrighted 1962. The kit came with 2 engines, the stock Ford V8 and a Pontiac engine with GMC blower. It also had a dropped front axle option, custom seat, tubular grille, door panels, exhaust stacks, reverse chrome wheels, and a surf board!!! Gee, I had forgotten about all the custom parts.
