Kit Karson Posted February 27, 2020 Author Posted February 27, 2020 Spent a little more time on the chassis and this is where you find out the difference between box stock and resin cast... the latter is often times mm's thicker in places. Had to do a mock up... hadn't set it up with the work so far done: both comin' and goin'! Oops! Just noticed the engine hatch needs to be opened up, pretty soon! going to have to flip the deck over and go to work! the stops will have to be removed and replaced to get the hatch cur open from the inside: Stay tuned! This is going to a street rod show down south in April and RRR has challenged me to getting these done. -KK 1

A drop of AC & hold it together... Snugged right up... Pretty good fit, so far! A little feathering on the corners... And, we have a pretty good fitting hood! Don't you think or don't you? -KK

Had to shorten the Woody's floor pan... and, then mocked up the body with the door panels, floor pan, chassis, firewall & inner fender wells... It all fits together! -KK 1

Here's where the saw meets the 'wall... Found a couple of wasted Revell Deuce recessed firewalls that will fill the bill! -KK

89AKurt Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 I know from experience, any changes with the engine, requires doing something to the firewall. You are making great progress! Switching out the radiator introduces a new challenge, just wanted to suggest thinking about panels on each side to block the wheel wells (missing from the original kit).

Brother, I've been watching your "Paint" truck build to see what I can barrow from you expertise! You nailed the missing stops for the 3100 inner fender wells!!
