My current project, been working on it about a year. Amt 96 Blazer 4x4 with a pro street Nova chassis, which had to be shortened and narrowed.

Cool conversion !

Make sure to upgrade your ball joints , cause the blazer family always suffered from separation. Wouldn't want to have a lousy ball joint come apart with all that muscle on tap lol

Thanks!

I got more done last night, but I haven't had time to take any more pics yet.

As for the ball joints, it now has the Nova's front subframe. Its cut off in the previous pics because I had to shorten the floor pan and reposition the firewall.

Here's a quick mockup. I got lot done over the weekend. Not everything is straight or aligned yet. The cage is started. The Blazer interior has been rough fitted to the Nova chassis.

Back at this one (after it sat about a year and a half)

Now it's green. Hopefully I can clear it tomorrow while I'm still off work. Also did some engine fitting. I went ahead and used the engine from the Nova kit, modified to tuck under the hood and firewall. 20211026_170257.jpg.b50502a63293373e39ce07300f3a7699.jpg

Boy that's looking pretty trick.  That Nova chassis fits great.  Hey.....that would have made a good Gasser as well.  Just sayin.

Getting the engine fitted properly. I found that the motor mounts I made interfered with literally every single exhaust header from my parts stash. So out they came. Problem was only partially solved though. Since I wanted the engine set back and low enough to keep the hood stock, the suspension and steering box wouldn't allow any headers either, so ended up cutting and grafting a pair until they nestled in without touching anything. 20211027_113657.thumb.jpg.5016f22e27fe8af51dc7504af6976c9a.jpg20211027_113650.thumb.jpg.314f96559ca4ef1b501f6adea82f7f60.jpg

Still plugging away at it. I think I made the exhaust a little too fat, but that's ok (I used sprue, so my options were limited) Also, I can't seem to remember where I put my Tamiya masking tape, so I tried to freehand the frosted areas of the windows (after a drink or two) Didn't turn out too well, so I blacked them out. 20211102_111533.thumb.jpg.9cb3658085738bfc153c23d5cf682b40.jpg20211102_111620.thumb.jpg.ed72ca70e2c45acf6d349c92bbeb4405.jpg20211102_111555.thumb.jpg.b0bb2b48d4527fa7db2fb2637ceda345.jpg20211102_111555.thumb.jpg.b0bb2b48d4527fa7db2fb2637ceda345.jpg20211102_111543.thumb.jpg.fb6c63a6edd2657a59a00fd99a81666e.jpg20211102_111630.thumb.jpg.7487b00ad682262850db30b410912a3c.jpg

Nice looking build. Gives me ideas for the Blazer and the Ford pickup rebuilders I have. I'll have to see how the Pro Street Tbird chassis and suspension work under them.
