crazyjim Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Chevy Blazer Crew Chief kit and I dond't know what year Blazer. Wired up the engine, texure painted the box and chassis, and made an exhaust system from aluminum rod and tubing. Paint is Tru-Color turquise.
Scalper Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Look Great Jim . nice work.. pipes in the back look really good
mikemodeler Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Liking the color on that one Jim! I wish the model companies would bring us updated versions of this kit and the pick ups, they could really improve on that old tooling and help us make even better looking models.
Classicgas Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Looks nice, great color. How did you do the pipes?
crazyjim Posted April 3, 2020 Author Posted April 3, 2020 Thank you Lee. Exhaust flows through aluminum rod (ebay cheaper than Michaels) and into aluminum tubing. I believe 1/8 into 3/32 tubing. Before the cutting and filing, the tubing is polished.
Goose1957 Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Great looking Blazer. I'm currently working on the same kit. You just made it harded for me to decide on the color for mine, really love that blue. The custom exhaust look good too. Keep up the nice work. Jeff
shoopdog Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Excellent work, particularly fond of your engine detail.
Hmann68 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Beautiful Blazer Jim! Like the other guys said, nice color ?
crazyjim Posted April 4, 2020 Author Posted April 4, 2020 Thank you Jeff, Keith, Christopher, Tom, Chris, and David.
James2 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Very nicely done K5, well built and clean That's funny about the year. Since the kit doesn't have turn signals up front, I'd say it's a 71 with a 70 bumper?
LouO Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 (edited) You made a really rough kit look OUTSTANDING! Great job! Nice ride! Edited April 5, 2020 by LouO
kilrathy10 Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 (edited) I love that interior... Very nice work... And the truck looks very nicely done, too... Look at that engine! Makes me want to get on up and snag one... Edited April 8, 2020 by kilrathy10
