Rbray47 Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) Just finished today. This quarantine really speeds up the build process! I started on it less than two weeks ago. Paint is Testor's Flame Red with their wet-look clear. Rims came from an Amt/Lindberg Dodge 330 with the redline tires from the Dirty Donny GTX. The air cleaner and valve covers are from my junk box. I didnt put the mirrors on (I'll just knock them off by accident) and there's still some Turtlewax in the panel lines. I also shaved the emblems, as they're getting harder to paint as I age lol Edited April 11, 2020 by Rbray47 1
Geno Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 (edited) Man that's sweet Randy, the '66 is my all time favorite 60's Impala. You rocked it. I had a chance to buy a 1:1 back in 1980, yellow with a white interior and a cherry body for $500 from my neighbor, I've kicked myself ever since for not buying it.? Now I gotta get me one of these lol. You sold me on it. Edited April 12, 2020 by Geno
shoopdog Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Turned out great inside and out, love the flame red.
Bucky Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Nice and tidy! Looks like one that ran the streets around here a few years ago. This is a top shelf build!

crazyjim Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Excellent work on the chrome trim. Whole car is very nice.
espo Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Beautiful looking Impala SS. All of the body trim is neat and cleanly done. The paint job is really special looking also.
Rbray47 Posted April 12, 2020 Author Posted April 12, 2020 Thanks for all of the compliments! After I uploaded the pics, I realized that the door handle was falling off lol Good thing I found it! Below is a screenshot of the inspiration.
