Do you guys ever just want to build a simple build without tedious plumbing? I do sometimes. I picked a new cab with all the chrome and interior parts for $16.00 on Ebay a while back. I picked up a built chassis for $20.00 at a swap meet a few years ago. There's no plumbing on this one except for the back of the cab. I shortened the built frame and swapped out the wheels with a 4070A. I swapped the engine for the IH V-800 to be different. I modified the battery box to better represent a B-Model. I built this one in one week. The only aftermarket parts are the intake scoop and decals.

Oh yes Brian!

Really awesome build with very nice subtle details such as the spilled diesel, the grease on the fifth wheel, the ridden tires etc.

Just I said, Awesome!

Are these decals from Jerry?

Great looking Transtar.  It really looks the part.  I have these decals, too; but I'm planning on using them on the C600.

Beautiful rig!! Heck I do most of my builds without all the plumbing..

Thanks Kerry! Sometimes if a build gets too tedious, it loses all of its joy for me.

Great recycling! And great details and combo of color, decals, and engine!  All on one of the nicest kits ever offered! Well done.

Thanks Tom! I saw one on the historical society website with the old IH v-8 in it, so it inspired me to swap this one to be a little different.

Thanks JT!! I'm lucky to get 6 done a year usually. Maybe this year will be different, but I'm sure that I won't get 52 built. ?

That's a very nice build Brian!  Seriously in one week... I'm floored... Hard to see but the weathering on the engine looks perfect!  You have talent sir!!!

Thanks! It probably need a few oil leaks being a Detroit though. ?
