DRIPTROIT 71 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Do you guys ever just want to build a simple build without tedious plumbing? I do sometimes. I picked a new cab with all the chrome and interior parts for $16.00 on Ebay a while back. I picked up a built chassis for $20.00 at a swap meet a few years ago. There's no plumbing on this one except for the back of the cab. I shortened the built frame and swapped out the wheels with a 4070A. I swapped the engine for the IH V-800 to be different. I modified the battery box to better represent a B-Model. I built this one in one week. The only aftermarket parts are the intake scoop and decals.
DrKerry Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Beautiful rig!! Heck I do most of my builds without all the plumbing..
tbill Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 That’s cool man! Love the fuel stain on the tank. Great looking rig !
Hermann Kersten Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Oh yes Brian! Really awesome build with very nice subtle details such as the spilled diesel, the grease on the fifth wheel, the ridden tires etc. Just I said, Awesome! Are these decals from Jerry? Hermann.
Jim B Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Great looking Transtar. It really looks the part. I have these decals, too; but I'm planning on using them on the C600.
lordorion1974 Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Man I do love those Transtars! Nice looking rig and the little touches really go that extra mile. Good work!
TECHMAN Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 ??? That is just SO GOOD LOOKIN' !!! Love to see "salvage builds", especially when they are so well done!!! DJ

I saw one on the historical society website with the old IH v-8 in it, so it inspired me to swap this one to be a little different.
