Rockford Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 If ever you are suffering build fatigue and just want something that's easy to build but yields great results, get one of these, the Revell Snap Tite Monte Carlo. It comes in vile green plastic but with just a little paint it builds into a great looking shelf model. The dimensions are spot on, the interior is well detailed, it falls together and the end result can't help but make you smile!
Snake45 Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 Looks great! I have that kit on my to-buy list but have never run across one, but will if I do. I've built several other of the Revell snappers in this series and have enjoyed them very much. Well done and model on!
doorsovdoon Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 Nice! I love the Monte kit. I did one the other day in beige. They are indeed a well made kit. Mine was moulded in red and came with Rally wheels. Hopefully whoever has the mould will re-release it with full detail chassis and engine.

I've just seen your build, I didn't know there was a different rendering of the low rider kit. I really would have loved to have one with those Rallye wheels becaue it would be just perfect. I think I used the custom wheel out of the '70 Impala kit.
doorsovdoon Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 I've seen lots of different versions with different box art. When I bought mine I wasn't sure if they included the Rally wheels. Some of them have the Rally wheels and others don't for some reason.
Spottedlaurel Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 Looks excellent, and great to get an 'easy win' every so often in building something that looks really effective without too much trouble. Will have to look out for this one.
espo Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 Great looking build. I think Chevrolet called that color Firethorn, sort of a metallic maroon finish.
Nazz Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Love the color and the choice of wheels. Looks clean. well done Stephen.
Tom Geiger Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Nice build! After we got a couple nice snappers people would post... can we get a (insert any car name) ? Even a curbside would be great!
Straightliner59 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Looks nice. Those Revell snappers are beautiful! I've built a couple of their '34 Fords, and am using most of one of their '70 Chevelles to build a circa 1975 NHRA Modified Production class racer. And, you're right, those bodies are beautiful!
