jjsipes Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Since my wife is busy working this evening, I thought I'd dig this out. Has been in the works for a few years now. Had to dust it off. A while ago, I crushed the body after it was painted and I contacted Moebius and ordered a replacement body. Since the weather had changed here in Maryland, I thought I'd get it out and prep and paint the body.
Deuces ll Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Woh! Nice paint work on the body.... ????
1972coronet Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Looking great ! That paint looks nice and deep . Don't forget : The transmission -- PowerFlite 2-speed -- is cast iron ( as is the TorqueFlite 3-speed , through 1961 ) .
gtx6970 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Really nice. I built the 55 a few years ago to give to a good friend who owns a 1/1 car. They build up VERY nice
TransAmMike Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 What and how did you paint that. Great deep black shine.?

espo Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Great looking paint finish. This should go well with the interior.

One painted red and the other as a Lee Petty Nascar The one I built replicated a very good friends car. and it sits quietly in his case now. He has owned the 1/1 since maybe late 70s or very early 80s time frame . Car has been painted YEARS ago. But still retains the original interior and the power train has never been out of the car . I have both the 55 and 56 to build for myself,,,,someday here soon I hope
