cobraman Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Using a lot of the poor fitting custom pieces but in time I think I can get them looking good .
doorsovdoon Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 I'll be watching with interest. I love making these old custom bits fit. Huge sense of achievement when done.
cobraman Posted September 19, 2020 Author Posted September 19, 2020 I got it on the run but I ran out of putty.
espo Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 I used that front end on a '49 Ford coupe body some time ago. Ya it will take a bit of putty to get all those parts to fit smoothly. The Windshield fitment issues are caused by the option of a chopped or standard roof, and on the real early issues they offered the Victoria hardtop stock and chopped roofs also.
David G. Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 It looks like you got a pretty good fit out of those custom bits. David G.
cobraman Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Thanks guys. Those custom parts do take a bit of work.
cobraman Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 I should wrap this one up in the not too distant future. I'm stalled waiting for some flocking for the interior and the paint I used for the top is still not dry 3 days after i sprayed it.
randyc Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Keep pushing. I built this one years ago. Very mild.
Modlbldr Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Both of those are nice looking builds Ray and Randy. I like the old 49-50 Ford kits. Lots of options and directions to go. I need to get back on my 49 and my 50. Keep it going Ray! Later-
