I guess I don't get the complaints about the price. Yes they are going to be had for around $75, but they are good kits. If you have ever built AMT kits and Italeri kits you would be happy to pay more for the Italeri kits just due to how well everything fit together.

Also keep in mind that not all kit builders are so knowledgeable about trucks that they can identify a Mack frame from a KW frame. I know I can not and I used to work as a truck mechanic. I also don't know what engine is correct for each truck/year/model etc. I am just happy to build a kit that goes together well, fits good and has great details.

As for the price, try buying 1/8th scale kits. I have been lucky this last year to find several kits for great prices, all used and all having issues (missing box, broken parts, etc) and I have paid over $150 each for them. I have dumped over $1000 in kits this last year. And no, I am not rich buy any stretch, this is just one of a few hobbies and I use it as therapy for my arthritic.

$75 for a new, well built easy and fun to build kit, yes, I will pay that.

Italeri kits goes together quite well and I have built a few of them in my day.
The downside is the 1:24th scale, the multi piece cabs and the generic and inaccurate things for chassis and engines as you say, that will maybe not bother some but I don't like it and for the price they ask for these kits I do expect more, the Revell Germany truck kits was about the same price when they were reissued last and the detail in those are less generic and more accurate most of the time.
I have said this before but there are only two chassis and engine combinations for all of the Italeri US truck kits except for the Volvo VN wich has it's own chassis and no engine, one chassis and engine for the Peterbilt kits and one chassis and basic engine for all the others, so it's a bit too generic for my liking.
But if you don't mind that and want to build a fairly good kit the Italeri kits are not bad at all, the shortcomings of chassis and engines can often be fixed, at least for the US truck kits as there are lots of stuff for them in the aftermarket, for the European trucks it's a bit worse, you can find chassis parts like suspensions and such but not many engines and transmissions that are correct wich I think is a bit strange as many of the European truck kits are hoplessly outdated in that area.

As expected, the Miller High Life GMC Astro is an 'adult collectible'....

As adults, we are expected to lower the cab on this one too.

"Intended for adults 21+" Does it come with real Miller beer in there?  Artwork is pretty cool, even if it looks like it's parked on a lead lined roof of a building!

Hey, if that's all it takes to keep the Karens off Round2's back so they can release kits like this, more power to 'em.

I wouldn't even object if it said "Intended for Adults 51+."   ?

There's no winning when it comes to Karens, mate, they'll always find something to p**s and moan about, though Round2 could throw in a couple of kegs since now it's age restricted, everyone's a winner, Lol!

Same kit as the previous version, save for new decals, box, and probably different tires?

Guess I shouldn’t have put this in an AMT thread. Still Round 2 though...

I ordered it last night. With shipping and tax it was just over 45 dollars. to mme that is a lot for an amt kit. Normally thry are 25 to 30 total, and cheaper if at hobby lobby
