Reuhkapelti2 Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 (edited) Under 8 sec. quarter mile, almost street legal in Finland late 1980 early 1990 was the 1:1 car. This model is as close as I could copy it. The real car still exists, the new owner has made some modifications to it, but not too much. This is a AMT kit Richard Petty with big tire openings etc. I had a big job to make it look like this. All the decals are self made too. The red/black stripes are painted. Earl Marischal Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 That's a very fine model you have built. Well done! steve
e30lover Posted November 5, 2020 Posted November 5, 2020 That looks amazing. Looks like you've done a great job getting the underbody brace, detachable front end and the working hinge! It reminds me of fastest street legal car (It was Vauxhall Victor) in England.
doorsovdoon Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 You've done a solid job on this, very nicely built and detailed.
Dave Darby Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 I like it. I suppose a guy could use the wheel openings from the Revell 68-9 Dart kits? Be neat to see a a stock or stock-ish 70 Dart.
Reuhkapelti2 Posted November 28, 2020 Author Posted November 28, 2020 Thanks everybody. this one was a fun but a tricky to build. I already finished the new version of this same car, as it nowadays exists here in Finland. The owner contacted me and asked if I would build his car as a model. I did and now it's in his house. it's a curbside model.
AmericanMuscleFan Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 Great build Ismo! I love these little Dodge/Plymouth bodies and you did a great job from bumper to bumper! I also scratchbuilt one as bracket drag racer so I know all the work necessary to make one. Yours looks mean and fast!!!!!!!!!!! ?
