Gramps46 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Seeing the release of the Revell Cobra kit and the MFH FIA kit reminded me of the Revell 1/24 Slot Body Cobra so I thought I would share my vintage FIA version. This is an old build done decades ago using the Revell body.
Phildaupho Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Very accurate looking FIA. My favourite Cobra.
afx Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Very nice Gary. Those Revell slot car bodies are hard to find these days. I built a FIA Cobra in 1/25 scale using the Sunny kit.
Ralph Henderson Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Nice Gary!! Is that the Bartoletti Hauler behind it?? Man, you guys are killing me...

Yes it is a Bartoletti hauler but I have not completed it yet. The body was built by Mike Sells and I added an AMT Ladder Truck chassis.
250 Testa Rossa Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 If I ever build an FIA car, it would have to be CSX2259, which was driven by Dan Gurney and Bob Johnson.
Silver Foxx Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 A great looking build , looks so right .
cobraman Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 That truck is way cool ! What a great way to display Cobra's.

cobraman Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 Both carriers look better than the one I built using the Lindberg stake truck.

Venom Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 That’s awesome Gary, looks just like the real thing. Wish I could find knock-offs like those.

Gramps46 Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 Your hauler came out really well. Nice job indeed.
Bainford Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Wow! Lots of cool stuff in this thread. Love the haulers, guys. Gramps, cool old Cobra build.
