This is my '63 Jag XK-E painted with Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red with a Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black interior, wired engine and built out of box.  I removed the side windows since they were molded as part of the interior door panels.

Looks beautiful, and you would never know how much the hood and headlights, and nose repaint fought you on this.

Thank you Larry and David!  To the unsuspecting viewer, they wouldn't know the trouble that I went through with this Jaguar.  While the hood seems long, the chrome strips on top of the fenders make the hood seem even longer!

Must be the Heller kit, they seem to really like to do that!  Looks great.

Thank you Bruce!  Yes, this is the Heller kit and it is the last Heller kit I will ever build!

They are a challenge but they offer some unique subjects, I'm working on the Talbot-Lago right now.

Thank you Dann!  This kit was a challenge to build and part may have been me trying to build it, too.  I just hope the new Revell Jag XK-E Coupe is better to build!

Well Mike, you finally finished ' Polishing that turd' as you succinctly described it. Considering the difficulties encountered you made a really nice model from it. So credit where it is due for your perseverance and patience to see it through.

Those old Heller car kits are shall we say 'challenging' and some have idiosyncracies. I had their Delage kit that had a joint right across the rear fenders and would be very difficult to fill in , rub down and paint to hide it. It was just weird why Heller would tool it like that! Did not bother and sold it on.

I have their Renault Paris Bus to build, but will probably persevere with it as the vehicle has so much Gallic character!

Thank you Noel!  Like I said previously, some of the issues I encountered were of my own doing and some was Heller's.  This kit was definitely "challenging".
