tbill Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 I painted the cab on this back in may just before I returned to work from my COVID time off, and have just finished it. Colors are all testors spray bombs, inca gold, lime ice and emerald green. Used tires from double take replicas, and can’t remember where the deck plate came from, thanks for looking.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Now that looks as sharp as a two dollar tack!! Excellent work!! I like it!!
Safire6 Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 That is slick looking, nice paint job! What paint/ finish is that on the fuel tanks?
tbill Posted December 2, 2020 Author Posted December 2, 2020 Thanks guys. the tanks are painted with this, I like the finish it produces, I got it at hobby lobby ages ago.
Bronzekeg Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 wonderful build Tom, it's from the era that I love. you nailed the feel and corrected the shortcomings of the kit.
Doug 1061 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 That turned out very nice. And I agree, nice pics.

Mr mopar Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Nice Tom.....where did you get the interior fans from ?
leafsprings Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Great representation of a KW cabover with those cool owner operator custom paint jobs!

To be honest , after it’s dry, I wear gloves to attach them, then never touch them. So far though, all the tanks I’ve done still look just as good as the day I painted them.
