Just one question, what happened with the headlights? They look dull chrome and the kit has clear. I'm flattered?. The headlights were a bit dull to begin with. I glued them with Future as I always do and they got a bit foggier.

Most impressive is your chrome work, more so since it was all masked and sprayed! What did you use for the chrome, Molotow? Cheers Misha Thank you! I used a local brand : Dryco Colors. 5 hours ago, espo said: Beautiful looking finishes everywhere you look on this one. ??? 5 hours ago, TransAmMike said: Wow Marco, thats beautiful and another masterful paint job by you.?? Nazz Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Great looking 442, that paint is fantastic. Well Done Marco.
vincen47 Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Incredible. The photography and finish combines to make a model that can can be mistaken for the real thing.
bisc63 Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 NICE. So many of these gave up their chassis for Chevelle kits, I didn't know anyone ever actually built one! Well done.
Beamerman Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 This was one of my first build AMT Kits when i was young. I still love this car and Kit. i don´t have it anymore but I will try to build a new one with my skills now. Great build and paint! Where did you get this polish pads? Cheers!

Each color has a different grain. https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-1230281092-boinas-espumas-e-l-1-polegada-suporte-para-micro-retifica-_JM
NOBLNG Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 I agree with everyone...it is one of, if not THE nicest paint job I’ve ever seen.
bisc63 Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 If I may offer one detail correction; it looks like you sprayed your front inner fender red, leaving a soft edge at the bottom. That should be a definite hard line between the red and black. Thee 442 used red plastic inner fenders, as Oldsmobile was experimenting with them for weight reduction from steel inner fenders. These were the entire inner fender, also visible under the hood, and not to be confused with the plastic inner fender liners that Pontiac would use because...it looked cool? Many cars would soon be using plastic inner fenders up front, but in black only. By the way, only the 442 had the red, other Cutlass models were black.
