Not going to complain, because the Monte version of this kit is a good looking car. But man I hope they get to the Camaro and/or Cuda. Passed on the recent GTO, but I believe I will pick up the Monte. And I'm not a stock car guy.

The other bodies (Mustang, Barracuda, Chevelle, Camaro) were restored to stock after the Super Stocker issue, so unless they are revised or retooled, those won't reappear.

Simple enough to grab a stock body (MPC, Revell, or whatever) and rework to fit the GTO/Monte Carlo chassis.

That will go nice with the GTO. I wonder if we'll ever get the Mustang or any other body styles from this series?

Me too. They haven't made it to the one's i really want yet, the Camaro, Cuda or Mustang. However, there is hope they follow the theme set by their recent reissues of all 6 chopper kits they did over the last 2 years, including the 2 (black max and cobra) that were never reissued until now. Fingers crossed they do the same with theses.

Dang, you just burst my bubble.

That being said, were there any kit specific parts for these other 4 that we would need to come up with other than the body? Or would everything be in the Monte/GTO box?

A Mustang body I did to fit this SS chassis.

Did you make any further progress on this?

Looks like it would fit a whole lot better than this body fit the frame. Never paid attention to the ugliness poking out underneath. nothing like the lithe profile on the actual car.

I have an original Camaro body I would let go, if anyone is interested.

Without looking inside one of the other kits, there is no way to know.

Anybody got one open that can show the contents?

The chassis, suspension, engines are the same in all the kits as best I can remember.

The original issue kits were built on two wheelbases (depending on the car) and I'm pretty sure the rear suspension setup differed on the shorter cars.  But you could probably build the shorter wheelbase chassis setup with the parts in one of the recent kits.

sorry to ask about an old thread...does anyone know where i can get a couple sets of the decal sheets for the dick trickle super stocker mustang kit?  i have been waiting for years to by this kit but they are scarce and no reissues yet ! i have one i built when they first came out but i didnt build it stock.so after reading this thread i might try to build a couple with the monte carlo chassis and a revell or amt mustang body. even if i could strip and rebuild the original one i have i will still need a couple sets of decal sheets...this was a very informative discussion about this series and i learned a lot and from what was said about the original molds that probably explains why they only reissued the gto and monte...thanks in advance for any help you could give me ... lee

Not sure Where to look for those decals.

It is going to be aftermarket, but I'm not up on who might have done, or still be doing them.

Pictures #4 & #5 were extra bodies laying around.  Pics #2 & #3 original kit bodies while #1 & #6 were the reissued. Bought an AMT 69 Mustang  sometime back, to small to work. I read someone's thread on using a  1/24 scale with better results.

@satterwhite78, are those the Junkie Donlevy (sp?) owned #90's from the Chameleon sunglasses car? I say it like that because I can't remember who drove Junie's car then. Dick Brooks I think?

Those are all great looking models! Really liking the orange and white #90 'Cuda.
