Sadly I had to put my dog Ben down today. He developed an aggressive bone eating cancer. Happened so quickly. But at least we have the option of arranging to not let our pets suffer. Should be the same for humans. He was my best friend for the past 13 years. From the day I rescued him. We were always together.  He was my Snooki Face. I'd say that to him while I would cup my hands over both eyes and rub his face. When he wasn't feeling safe and secure. He would come to where ever I was so I could give him a Snooki face. I just loved him so.

Sorry for your loss.

Thank you Bruce. My wife is fighting cancer and then to lose Ben to an aggressive bone cancer has kind of left me in a fog. He was by my side from morning till night seeing my wife was still working. Planned on retiring this past April. But Christmas Eve morning I rushed her to the hospital and that was when she was diagnosed with the cancer. He was the light in all this darkness for both of use.

Ewetwo I have lost several dogs and each time it seems a piece of your heart is ripped out of your body. I am truly sorry for your loss. He looked like a very cool dog. Try to keep your head up . My very close friend Steve was diagnosed with cancer also. This was 4 years ago. He had a bone marrow transplant. Was in the hospital for several months but he has so far pulled out of it and has even started modeling again. He is still up and kicking. So Sometimes there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am hoping and praying for the best for you and your wife. Very, very sincerely Bruce

We lost Lola, my near constant companion for 12 years and 4 months, on Aug 4th. Kidney Disease took her.

Her leaving left a massive hole in the household, even though we have another Springer, a Dane, and three cats.

So... we brought home this little mugwump a few weeks later.

Dottie, another English Springer Spaniel, born May 31. Very smart, very busy, and very cute!

So sorry for your loss with Lola Bruce. It's difficult. But Keely is a cutie. There was an 8 month old male golden that needed a home. But with my wife going through chemo treatments and all. It just isn't the right time.

Hi Mike, sorry to hear about Lola, but I'm sure Dottie will help you to feel a little better. She is adorable.

Bruce, Keely is very cute indeed.

dan, luna  is very photogenic. Great pics as ussual. Husky mixes, just amazing!

I wish I had some pics of Diesel but he has been busy, A while ago he did his sheep herding instinct test which he passed. He wassn't sure what to do with the strange animals but once he figured it out he did a good job of keeping them together. He has also been to a coulple of agility trials and is doing quite well. He has 2 qualifying runs so far. One coming yersterday. He sure likes that game and likes cources that are open so he can run. I wish I had some pics but no.

Our other dog , Sugar Rae had 3 quallifying runs yesterday as well.

Here is a picture of Whiskey and Diesel in our motel room. it was Whiskey's first trip out of town and he did great. He seemed very comfortable and well behaved. They saw some movement outside and had to check it out. We went to a aggility trial and he was good there as well. He sure got lots of attention!

As a former hotel GM, we would allow pets to stay at no additional charge.  Pet owners are more respectful of the room and housekeeping never complained an animal had an accident in a room.

First pic is Raine (left) and Ginger while I’m watching TV.  Second is Beardsley. Third is Henry and Ginger.  Henry and Ginger are senior Yorkies, he’s 16 going on 17 and Ginger is 14 going on 15.  Had her since she was a puppy.  Both are frail and have numerous health issues.   Raine (reddish Australian terrier mix) and Beardsley (gray Chi-terrier mix) were a bonded pair adopted in Phoenix in 2014.  They are 9 and 10 now.   We had 6 dogs when moved back to Ohio in 2017, two senior Yorkies have passed since then.
