ewetwo Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 (edited) AMT 71 Thunderbird. Originally I built it with broken a pillars. I came across an almost complete kit so I switched the body's and mag wheels. It was dark green and I never really like the look. So I used a blue metallic. I clear coated it but it wouldn’t shine so iI put a coat of Pledge Revive. Gave it a little shine. I added a picture the original build. Edited February 7, 2021 by ewetwo
AMT68 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Great restoration and the medium blue color looks appropriate for this model. I've built a couple of these and they're a nice stress free build.
bisc63 Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Pretty cool! This kit always looked to me a bit uninspiring in the box, but as you've shown it cleans up NICE! Color does everything for this body, and that is a really great choice you've made. Well done!
skymnky721 Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 neat build,,dig that garage set looks good in there
shoopdog Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Looks great! That green just didn't cut it. I'm really liking your garage.
ewetwo Posted February 9, 2021 Author Posted February 9, 2021 Thank you Carl. I think the blue looks better than the green.
doorsovdoon Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Great looking revamp on your T-Bird, a big improvement regarding the colour. Metallic paint is a must for this style of car. These are very simple kits and a bit uninspiring on opening the box, and the box art doesn't help, but what can be made of it makes it a real hidden gem. Very nice build!
