ModelcarJR Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I recently finished this Edsel. The paint is Tamiya light green pearl and Krylon Semi-gloss white. The fender skirts were the most difficult part of the build, getting the skirt to the edge of the body wheel opening. My biggest mistake was painting the firewall flat black when it should be body color. I just spaced through it! My closer pictures of the engine bay did not turn out. Thanks for looking! ? 1
espo Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Beautiful looking factory fresh. Very cleanly detailed.
baycolony Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Very nicely done. Love the color. How was the kit? I heard this was one of AMT's better productions.
David G. Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 That came out great! Clean and smooth, I love it. David G.
ModelcarJR Posted March 11, 2021 Author Posted March 11, 2021 Thanks, All! I appreciate your comments! The kit was a very good kit with good parts fit with the exception of the fender skirts. I would have like a better fit there. I did a better job on the left side than the right because I scraped out the lip in the body and also thinned down the ridge on the skirt to get it to fit better but it was very tedious. Other than that, everything fit very well. Too bad it's an Edsel! ?
Nxr Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Eh firewall can be black or body color maybe it caught rust and painted black, nice build
ModelcarJR Posted March 13, 2021 Author Posted March 13, 2021 Thanks, everyone for all the replies! I appreciate your comments! ?
