cobraman Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Just wrapped up this Resin LSR car . It’s a kit by Soldan models . This one is a pretty simple kit with few pieces . It is 1/43 scale and is about 9 inches long. Painted with Tamiya paints and Wet Look Clear . No decals were included as this is a design study and not a model of a real car . So I just selected some decals from my decal box .
John Verkerk Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 I really like the LSR cars! have a few on the go myself ,yours looks great ,like the color scheme ,particularly the red, what red is that?
cobraman Posted April 19, 2021 Author Posted April 19, 2021 Thank you for the comment and the PM John. The red is Tamiya Metallic Red.
Venom Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Now there’s something you don’t see every day! .. You’ve always got something interesting to show us Ray. Nice job?
styromaniac Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Looking at that rocket engine bell housing at the rear....reminds me that I read once that Craig Breedlove supposedly tried to secure a Lunar Module descent engine from NASA...the thrust could be throttled up or down...to make another land speed attempt. Wonder if that's true...or just rumor.
lucky 130 Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Just found this. That is one Kool LSR. Powered by "COBRA"?
Rich Chernosky Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Pretty cool Ray....have you found anyone crazy enough to drive it yet.
cobraman Posted June 14, 2021 Author Posted June 14, 2021 Thank you fellows. Nobody would ever drive anything I build !
echo Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I like the LSR cars and your model came out well, a good representation of the genre.
Gramps46 Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Well done Ray. I like the way the exhaust nozzle appears to be anodized.
