i cant quite put my finger on what's wrong with the truck.  ahh yes of course, its the meth bumper sticker

The Econoline pickups had a 160 pound counterweight attached under the bed floor, near the rear bumper, to prevent that.  Not sure about the Dodge A-100 pickup, but it probably had a similar arrangement.

OK, I'll buy that. I thought it was added later in the run, but it was there from the beginning. Apparently it did reduce the tendency to do a stoppie.

There has been one of those turned into an RV in Australia, and another one in the US built in Space Shuttle dress, in later years converted into a food truck.

There was an artist in California( Phil Garner, now Pippa Garner )who did that to a '59 Chevy. It was on the cover of Road & Track back in the 70s.
