cobraman Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 Just finished . A simple kit but they look good when done . I had paint issues but didn’t want to strip and redo . Gold centers on the wheels . Paint is Tamiya Pearl Green with Wet Look Clear . Not great but not horrible . 1
Chuckyg1 Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 That looks really good. Great color choice. You did a nice job detailing the chassis. What kind of detail does the interior have? Some on the forum say this is a more accurate body than the full detail kits, May have to pick one of these up.
TransAmMike Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 That was quick Ray!! Pretty color, looks great on the '57 body. ? Gotta get mine underway.
cobraman Posted May 24, 2021 Author Posted May 24, 2021 Thanks fellows. John the interior is not too bad. Plus it has decals for the seats. This is the second one I have built and for a snap kit I think it is very nice.
Zippi Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Looks pretty good and I like the green. I'll have to pick one up next time HL has their 40% off.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Looks good and a great color choice! I picked one of these up a couple of months ago, but my brain's on complete lockdown over a color, lol.
cobraman Posted May 24, 2021 Author Posted May 24, 2021 Thanks fellows. This simple kit is really a pleasure to build. I may just have to get another.
cobraman Posted May 25, 2021 Author Posted May 25, 2021 Thanks guys. Other than a lot of mold lines that needs to be removed it's very nice.
TooOld Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 Nice job Ray ! The gold in the wheels is subtle but really sets it off .
Mike F. Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 Nice job on paint and body detailing. Anyone ever try to build one with an engine?
cobraman Posted May 27, 2021 Author Posted May 27, 2021 Thanks Michael . I don't recall seeing anyone adding a motor to one of these kits but maybe ?

Gotta ask you Ray, is that the natural stance on the kit or did you lower the front?? It's just the way I like it on a '57.
cobraman Posted May 27, 2021 Author Posted May 27, 2021 Thanks Mike. You have a choice of two holes to put the axles in.

I started on mine and while scribing (trying to at least) a door panel line got off track and messed up the door and now have to figure out to repair it. Never again! And here I thought it was gonna be a simple build?
PappyD340 Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Super nice 57 Ray, love the color suits the car well!
doorsovdoon Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Looks good, I like the colour. Those wheels don't look too bad do they, I quite like those.
cobraman Posted May 30, 2021 Author Posted May 30, 2021 Thanks Gareth. I really like those wheels. They make the car IMO.
