This is my return effort after a long pause in modeling, so I chose a simple one. I've got many, many WIPs already, so I promised myself I won't touch another model until this one is 110% DONE. ?

This isn't something I would normally build, I generally stick to drag and muscle cars. I lowered it as low as it would go, and pushed the tires inboard as far as they would go. It's obviously not very accurate, but I like how it looks.

You're off to a good start with the mods you've made to the stance and tire positioning... looking forward to how this build finishes-out.  Welcome back to building!

I pulled that kit out to look over this week. It’s still on the kitchen table.  Pretty much a simple kit aimed at kids back in the day, and the last hurrah for the kit tooling (of all the cars in the series).  I was surprised at how nice the tires are!

You have a great looking start. Love the color and the mods really help. Years ago I built the Buick in this same series on a different forum specializing in dirt track subjects. I also thought the wheels were really wrong. In the ensuing discussion, one of the members showed pictures of a series ran (IIRC) in New York in the 70's.  The cars looked just like this series of models, so don't sweat the look. ?
