Really nothing at all, just how the paint laid down. I used Krylon Short Cuts flat black, IMO it has just the right sheen and texture to it for interiors.
Nosferatu Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Beautiful work! I always loved those wheels. That interior looks so real!

Like the other Monogram musclecar kits it's fairly simplified, but does build up well and looks the part. One regret I have is not deepening the panel lines to get some wash in them. After primer & paint they got buried a fair bit and figured they would look a little messy if I tried throwing some Tamiya panel line in them. Oh well. Scribing the panel lines so they're deeper before paint is a good idea but forget about using wash in them afterwards . Most of the time they end up way too dark and it doesn't look realistic . . . just my two cents .
smellyfatdude Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 Great color, perfect choice of wheels . . . and the stance is just perfect. And that killer interior ?. Sharp in every regard!
Jon Cole Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 (edited) Man, that is sweet! Iconic muscle car. Edited June 26, 2021 by Jon Cole
Venom Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 Very clean!... and excellent photos too! The interior is so good it looks like you could just slip right in there... Nice work!
Bills72sj Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 Very well done. Great finished and detail. If you ever do another pistol grip shifter, Run a strip of Molotow on the front and back.
br67 Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 Great stance and wheels on this very clean build - well done!
TransAmMike Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 That's just gorgeous Tony, looks as close to a real car as you can get. Wow?
Geno Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Tony, you rocked that build, I have one up next on my build list after I finish my '70 Buick GS convertible, I hope my turns out half this nice. Way cool.?
TarheelRick Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 I doubt I can add any more accolades to this build. I am totally awestruck over the cleanliness of this build. As others have said, with your photography this one looks more real than some real ones. You sir, have set the bar to a whole new level on realism. Thank you for sharing it.
Beamerman Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Very cool! The Paint and wheels are perfekt! The interieur is looking so real...awesome...
1959scudetto Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Excellent build of this muscle car - looks better than the real thing !
Foghorn Leghorn Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Excellent Work! And the camera focused on the subject! YAY!
crazyjim Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Very nice build. What paint did you use on the wheel spokes? Looks almost like gray primer.
