I knew this one existed, it is a copy of the Street Freak AWB Nova, with a Tempest body. Just too cool. I searched for years to find one, and when i saw a photo of it on the side of a Model King box, I KNEW I would eventually get one. I found it on line and immediately replaced the big block Chevy with a Revell parts pack 421SD...I had the decals long before the car, you could say I built the car around the decals!!!

Very nice! You captured the look and feel of these things pretty well. Model on! B)

BTW, this kit is not SUPER-rare. There are several on eBay right now, and a half dozen or more of them have sold within the last 90 days for $40 or less--pretty good price for something OOP. 

AFAK the molds still exist so it could be reissued again at some point.

Yup, I just got one from ebay for $39. delivered today.

The stock chassis and interior are on the steel tooling tree for the AFX Tempest. Now let's lobby Round 2 for a re-tooled stock body 1963 Tempest conv/ ht , just like they did with the 64 Cutlass Kit.
