I own a 1:1 '68 Fairlane hardtop, so I collect and build 68-69 Fairlanes/Torinos. My '68 was born Lime Gold, but I didn't care for the color when I bought in 1982, so I painted it Wimbledon White. I like the color now, so one of my many WIPs is this Lime Gold 68 hardtop, i'm building it to replicate my car when it was new.  ?

This one is a Modelhaus, MCW has them available now.

Okay,update number 1 engine installed and chassis is done and up on wheels?

Update number 2: Dashboard complete,repainted the seat inserts wasn't happy with the look,passenger seat was fixed in the 3rd pic.

Update number #3:I swapped out the valve covers and air cleaner,i couldn't find any pictures with the kit pieces.The valve covers are from the 68'Mustang GT and the air cleaner is from the 69'Cougar.

Last update:just doing a little test fitting to see how it sits,i repainted the car and decided to shave off the door handles and drill out the keyholes,i have some P/E for the keyholes and some resin doorhandles to use.

Looks good aside from some minor alignment /fit issues between the interior tub and body but that'll be fairly easy to negotiate. That paint looks as smooth as silk Curtis.

How is the enamel on the body working for you?  Will you need to clear coat it?

I plan on it,the paint looks a little dull after it dries,i plan on clear coating it on wednesday

Okay,back on the bench with this one,engine compartment is painted and i added door handles and used some P/E door locks and installed the windshield.

Part 2 of the update the front grille was stripped and repainted using Molotow,but there's is a strip of body color between the front grille and bumper that's impossible to paint,the taillights were difficult as well?

Okay almost done here;body and frame glued together,i may lower the rear a little.I also added a licence plate from Bestcarmodelparts.?
