I own a 1:1 '68 Fairlane hardtop, so I collect and build 68-69 Fairlanes/Torinos. My '68 was born Lime Gold, but I didn't care for the color when I bought in 1982, so I painted it Wimbledon White. I like the color now, so one of my many WIPs is this Lime Gold 68 hardtop, i'm building it to replicate my car when it was new. ? looks very cool!,who offers the resin body?.
Bills72sj Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Nice progress on a rarely seen subject. Following.

Nice wood insert on the steering wheel and detailing on the dash and console ! You say O-rings for the bezels ? They might go by a different name. 1
kelson Posted December 8, 2021 Author Posted December 8, 2021 Okay, update number 1 engine installed and chassis is done and up on wheels? 1
kelson Posted December 8, 2021 Author Posted December 8, 2021 Update number 2: Dashboard complete, repainted the seat inserts wasn't happy with the look, passenger seat was fixed in the 3rd pic.
kelson Posted December 8, 2021 Author Posted December 8, 2021 Update number #3:I swapped out the valve covers and air cleaner,i couldn't find any pictures with the kit pieces. The valve covers are from the 68'Mustang GT and the air cleaner is from the 69'Cougar.
mustang1989 Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Yezzir....you can count me "IN" on watching the rest of this one come together.
kelson Posted December 8, 2021 Author Posted December 8, 2021 Last update:just doing a little test fitting to see how it sits,i repainted the car and decided to shave off the door handles and drill out the keyholes,i have some P/E for the keyholes and some resin doorhandles to use. 3
mustang1989 Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Looks good aside from some minor alignment /fit issues between the interior tub and body but that'll be fairly easy to negotiate. That paint looks as smooth as silk Curtis. 1
slusher Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 Looking good Curtis, i like that shade of green..
Tom99 Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 The interior looks right now, it's coming along real nice. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished car.
David G. Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Excellent shade of green, the interior looks great too. David G. 1
drodg Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 How is the enamel on the body working for you? Will you need to clear coat it?

kelson Posted January 28, 2022 Author Posted January 28, 2022 Part 2 of the update the front grille was stripped and repainted using Molotow, but there's is a strip of body color between the front grille and bumper that's impossible to paint, the taillights were difficult as well? 2
