KJ790 Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 I have finally finished this combo. The truck is an AMT K123 kit that has been heavily modified to be backdated to a 1964 model. The trailer is almost entirely scratch built. 3
Fantom Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Not right posting real trucks and saying they are models. ? Outstanding build!! 1
4mula1fan Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Good job! The first truck I drove looked very similar.
Warren D Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Another great build! Love the attention to details.
Doug 1061 Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Superb job all around there. Pics 4 and 5 done in grayscale would really put it back in time.
doorsovdoon Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Looks amazing! The weathering and picture angles makes it look real. Very cool!
1959scudetto Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 KJ, you continue to amaze me - perfect to the very last detail (even my wife found it awesome)!

Doug 1061 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Cool. It really looks the part there. Well done.
leafsprings Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 The sign of a great model, undetectable from 1:1. This one passes the test! Great subject matter and great fabrication work!
Toys4Don2 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Absolutely amazing looking tractor/trailer combo!!
the goon Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 Really looks great. Love the colors. Mark
Bills72sj Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Very impressive realism. The 3rd pic in black and white would fool most people.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Every time you finish a build I end up saying that it is my favorite one yet. This one is no exception. You are not only the KW king, but you are the trailer king as well. You have a talent for capturing the vintage look. I always enjoy your builds and I am looking forward to seeing your next project! Excellent build!
Sergey Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Impressive work, KJ! I really like the combo! Nice paint work and weathering - too, especially on a freezer. Open windows add nice touch! I would only slightly shade the grill and change trailer gates locker rods. By the way: oval marker light on trailer are Czech Truck Model sets too? How much sets of oval lights have you used?
Jim Whalen Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Nice build that really captures the time period it has been built to represent.
kilrathy10 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 You've done it, again... Too awesome... Very nice work on this baby... Amazing... Subtle weathering... Clean assembly... Excellent presentation... Beautiful...
Smoke Wagon Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 That truck and trailer go together better than PB and J. Beautiful work.
