Kool Kat Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Been working on this for a week or so, it's very close to being finished, first thing is the paint; Touch n Tone orange from the can, interior is Ivory from a can. and a little orange flocking on the floor. Decided to use the 70's spoke wheels, got a couple detailed, And then I narrowed the rear axle and shaved some off of these crappy excuse for springs. Kool Kat
Zippi Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 There ya you man. Nice looking. Love that orange. Great work.

Kool Kat Posted October 15, 2021 Author Posted October 15, 2021 Don't you just hate it when this happens? Time for the stripper
gotnitro? Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 Sorry to see paint issues the colors look fantastic together
Zippi Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 Yeah....I think we've all been there before KK. Purple pond?
Kool Kat Posted October 15, 2021 Author Posted October 15, 2021 Something I missed in mock-up, if I put the front axle in its intended spot the tires look to far forward, but if I move it to just behind the intended spot, they look "right". What do ya'll think? Bob, easy-off!! KK

Zippi Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 That happened to me on my 32 Sedan and I glued it back and added a small brace.
Kool Kat Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 It had broke once before and I pinned it back, I'll replace it or find a different style axle, I've got some beam axles I may give a shot.
David G. Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 Bummer about the axle, but at least it's a common enough part that securing a replacement shouldn't be too difficult. It'll also give you a chance to address the position issue. David G.
