MeatMan Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 I put a new Hemi in it and did a lot of the typical restomod changes. I know some of you don't like the low profile tires so please lets not rehash that. With that said they came from a DC. 3
Intmd8r Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 I like the subtle changes to the hood - nice touch
Just Jim Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 I think it looks great! Where did you get the wheels and tires? I know it says "they came from a DC" apologies though, I don't know what that means. Can I buy them aftermarket or are they included with a specific kit?
happy grumpy Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Looking great on those wheels. Color combo works great too. I have a soft spot for mopars of the 60's and early 70's. 1
Zippi Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Super clean looking ride. Love the two tone colors. I for one like the low profile Wheels & tires. I'm putting them on my 61 Impala and I have them on my 49 Chevy pickup 1:1.
Koellefornia Kid Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Nice looking ´Cuda! colours and wheels are spot on! 1

That's a resin hood from Lex on eBay. It was a little warped and wouldn't sit fully straight so I added four rare earth magnets to each corner and to the body so it sits a bit better. You can see the rear ones on the engine pic.

Thanks Jim, sorry for assuming everyone referred to diecast metal cars as DC. It was a 67 Mustang at Hobby Lobby that I copped at the 40% discount (as shown in the pic). You actually get two sets, one with a black center, and one set chrome, but be advised that they are very wide. In fact I cut the front rim down and replaced the tire with a set I printed. To fit them under the rear I had to cut out the rear seat, and modify another chassis to fit them under it.

I know what you mean - I bought 3 or 4 hoods from Lex. Have yet to find one that fits without significant rework.

doorsovdoon Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 The colour combo and wheels definitely give it that resto mod look. Very nice.
John B. Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Its not important that some are critical of large wheels; what is important is that you enjoyed fitting them to your model. They really make the car pop - nice job!
MeatMan Posted November 24, 2021 Author Posted November 24, 2021 Thanks for the support. Much appreciated.
