Nice to see this back on the bench Anton!

Thanks mate! I have been doing allot to it but mucht that is just filling and filing :D

Engine took some time but I am really satisfied now, more acurate LS is hard to find i think.

I have made som interior progress as well. The divider for the trunk have been separated from the door cards to be able to build around it better. So that gave me the chanse to glue in the back seat as well as the divider, firewall. Will proabobly do a second firewall further back due to the fuel cell, time will tell. I also replaced the old center consol that i had put there froma Series 1, 20 years ago and replaced it with a extra 4gen camaro center console that i had.

Found a cool file on a shifter...  I think it suits the theme or what do you guys say?

Also found a good material for the carpet that i will be needing. Looks like carpet in scale in my eyes. It's baby wipes that i rinsed in water before drying it so the chemicals would not mess with the collor later which seems to work.

Anton, this is a great build. Glad you could achieve the stance you wanted. The engine and seats look awesome. I'm looking forward to more.

It looks like that shifter should be dispensing some cold bubbly beverages.? Seriously, you’ve got some awesome work going on here…LOVE that engine!? And the B&M starshifter? looks better.?

Haha I can agree with you! If it was way thinner it might have suited a rally car though! :D

Thanks dude! I love it to, I have made it as I want it ? Hurst shifter actually, but guess they are very similar, I had the B&M in my Chevelle back when in a custom made CF console, integrated indicator and leather both. A darn nice shifter i must say, for beeing automatic ;) I love a T56 myself but thats not the best in a drag car.

Made some progress on the cage. Fits nice to the roof and window frames I think. Lower bars are bent I know.. but might do some more bracing there. Time will tell.IMG_4152.thumb.jpeg.8bf68b6daf9ca4c41f766c2384596b9d.jpeg

Got some more done tonight, put the carpet in, wet tissue that I glued down, and painted it with NATO black.
and did some more detail painting and prepping.

I have made allot of progress over the last day or so, most of the engine parts are painted and assembled. The rear end with the shocks are positioned, glued and painted and waiting to be installed.
and I just love this engine!!

Sorry for the bad quality pictures. Celphone pix that are cropped.

Made a start at wire the engine. The braided lines are ok, a tad small I guess but next size up is too large. Need to order new stuff later. Have a really hard time getting the normal spark plug wire to stick ano Mather what CA I use. Anny ideas?
I also made a serpentine belt out of tape and changed the position on the alternator.
I have also detailed some more in the interior, made a cf panel from the C5R decal sheet I have, took three different decals but looks good now.

I have made alot of progress over the last week. But not that much that is worth showing.

The Chassi has gotten its rear end and steering installed. And plumbing is started as of now.

The Trunk lid got a new spoiler, more of what you find on a Camaro SS of similar age, also new mirrors has been installed to finish of the '96 look. Mirors came from my PB, think they are from a Aoshima GT-R.

Steering wheel and column got some work, key is in the egnition with a SS key tag with the same collor as many other details in the car. The PE details are MR Model hood pin kit that got repurposed since i could not find my keys ;)

And last the engine with most of the plumbing done, Missing is external oiling, Fuel delivery and return and of course cooling and such.

Turbo has Oil feed lines and drain to the oilpan, as well as vacum hose to the Waste gate. Also the injectors are wired.. my most plumped engine so far!
