Long nose Shelby Cobra drag car

Been messing around with this for a couple days . Used two AMT bodies to make the one . Using the chassis and such from the Mooneyes dragster  . Still smoothing out the body and not very sure this will work out well if at all .

What's there to be un-sure of? Looks like a fantastic start to me! I love imaginative kit bashing.

Interesting!  Are you going to hinge TT h body like an F/C, or just as is?

Thanks gents. Lee I have thought about a hinge but not sure I can unless I added to the rear of the chassis. Car is in it's final primer coat, I hope.

Put some paint down today . No clear yet.

Car was cleared today with Duplicolor 1K clear . Just needs final touches and a couple parts and clean up .

I often wondered if the typical Cobra body would be easy to stretch by grafting two sectionned bodies together. You answered my question!

Was there "taper" issues at the cowl, or was the graft fairly straight? Just curious...

Very cool! I think this is the first chevy powered cobra I've seen and that's pretty neat.

Thanks Scott.  I have seen several kit Cobra's with SB Chevy engines. Would not be my choice in one I could drive but  to each his own.
