I think the pic of the white one is painted white around the bed and back window trip is black.  I removed the lip on the rear of the roof.  Looks much better.

I like it better without the roof lip too.

That looks about right for a streetable Falcon.  Any more motor and you would need serious suspension/wheel/tire upgrades.

Yeah I think your right.

Got the body in primer today.  It was 48 degrees and the humidity was 42%.  All went well.  I have plans of spraying the topcoat tomorrow as it's supposed to be around 55 degrees, sunshine, and very little wind.

I got out the airbrush today and sprayed the Ranchero.  Not sure what happened but it was a disaster.  It was 53 degrees and the humidity was at 49%.  The finish come out looking like and orange.  I sprayed it the same way I sprayed the 34 Ford Modified in red so not sure what happened.  Could have been the weather I guess.  I did get one bank of the engine (I'm calling it a 302) wired.  I may have to wait til Spring to do any more airbrushing.

Mate, it happens!  I do all my spraying in summer if I possibly can but I once saw a friend's kid spray an AMT 40 Ford Tudor, jet black enamel on the coldest wettest day imaginable and it looked like black glass!  You just have to take the good with the bad.  Sorry it happened to ya but keep plugging away on your other components and it will all come around in good time.  I love how your Falcon is looking already!

Cheers

Thanks Alan.  Yup.....famous words of Forest Gump, "Sh*t Happens".  Probably have to wait for some weather over degrees.

The body has been stripped.  I got the engine glued in and unfortunately I had to cut a hole in the hood.  Wasn't wanting to do that but it is what it is.

I got some flat white primer on the body and the bumpers in Matt black.  My plan was to leave the body flat white and spray pearl clear over it like I'm doing on my 56 pickup build I'm doing.  I do have this Tamiya TS-41 Coral Blue I may shoot over the white.  I'll make up my mind tomorrow.

Looks great Bob! I do like that colour!?

Thank's Greg.  I wasn't sure after I painted it but it's growing on me.  Once I get the bumpers, wheels & tires, etc. on it should look pretty good.

I'm calling the interior done.  Kinda plain Jane.

Clean and tidy, looks good. Sometimes plain jane is the go, keeps it simple and continues the build moving along.

Paint came out great Bob, definitely a keeper. You was to close or to far away on spraying the other color.  I think                 You have a real sharp color and looking forward to more friend..
