V8tiger Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 I was wondering if there are anyone producing the 1964 Chevrolet Bill Thomas Cheetah in either 1/25 or 1/24 scale. It would seem to me that there is a pretty big market for it...
espo Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Have you checked any of the suppliers listed here on the Forum?
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 (edited) Historic Racing Miniatures. Be prepared to pay a lot, if you can even find one. It's a beautiful kit, and worth every penny. https://www.modelbuilderswh.com/products/cheetah-race-car https://www.scalemates.com/kits/historic-racing-miniatures-hrm103-cheetah--1112077 Or...you can use a slot-car body and scratchbash the rest. Daddyfink Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Just know that most Resin Cheetah kits are pulled or mastered off the Cox slot car body, and some are good, and some not so good.
Mark Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Good thing I've got the Cox shelf version then! It's cleanly assembled, just don't have the heart to tear into it. Too bad Monogram didn't do one, they might have reissued it as an SSP item.

I had the Cox Cheetah mint. I pulled it from a box one day and it shattered into about 10 parts....not salvageable. Beware!!!

Pretty bad for a Slot Car. Edited December 14, 2021 by Daddyfink

1959scudetto Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 A few years ago, Carrera had a few Cheetah models in its 1/24 slotracing range.
