I got some paint on this one so I can work on it next week while its rainy and cold. I had a suggestion of red and black, which I thought about, but went with a very, very dark blue. I thought a light blue would look good for the interior, but it was too bright for me so I changed it to a more neutral Khaki tan.  So now all the parts are painted. I'll finish the 63 Nova first and then I'll have plenty of time to work on this one. Thanks for looking! ?

Thanks, David, Tom, Mike and Stephen! I appreciate your comments!

After I rubbed out the body, it took me about 4 hours to get these two strips of foil on the body. The foil fought me all the way. It may ber a little thick but its as small as I could get it. Such a shame, I would normally have the entire body foiled in 4-6 hours.  Thanks for looking!

Thanks, Carl and David! I appreciate your comments!

Finished the foil today. I'm glad that's done!  I also sanded off the paint on the hood Oldsmobile letters. I couldn't get foil to stick before I painted so I just sanded down the paint and will leave them as is. I am not going to fool myself into thinking I can actually pick some chrome from the chrome pen onto the letters. It would end in weeping and gnashing of teeth. ☹️ Thanks for looking! ?

Finished the interior.   Not much to work with but Round2 did add a dash decal which is a first for me. It only broke in a couple of places but I managed to get it down and pieced back together. I added some foil, used black masking tape for the door line and center of the console. Some chrome from the chrome pen and its done. I thought about adding seat belts but they weren't required yet in 1964 and I didn't want to spend a lot of effort on this interior. So, it is what it is! Thanks for looking!

Thanks, Greg and Mike! I appreciate your comments! I only posted this one picture as I have a new computer and as with anything new there is a learning curve. And for me it has a long arc! I'll post additional pics later, I hope. Thanks for looking!

I've built this one totally box stock. I didn't add any plug wires, heater hoses or even a radiator hose. Its been a long time since I built a model with screws to hold the chassis to the body - since about when I was 10 -12 years old! This one is done except for fixing a couple of spots of foil around the wheel openings. I like the subject but the molds are very old!

Whoa! that was a tough call on the interior change. I like both... wouldn't have been easy for me.? But the result is a clean example!

The top up option would've been a nice addition with Round II. I know alot of development and thought was invested on their part so I'm happy to see this one. I'm sure a resin top is already available by now...?

I have one myself to build I'm planning a two door wagon, harvesting the top from a chevelle wagon.

The body is actually a new tool, as is quite a bit of the rest of it, but it was done to the standards of the original, for better or worse.

I'm tying to figure out how to do that side-spear. I'm seriously thinking about masking off the body, and using my Molotow marker to save hassles given how faint it is, and then foil the rest.

Like you, I chose the Midnight Mist (Chevy's Daytona Blue), and from previous suggestions, found that Pontiac Engine Blue is a pretty good match for early-mid '60s GM blue vinyl. I used a mix of non-metallic blues for the carpet. It did come out a bit bright, though. I might re-do the interior if I decide it bothers me enough.

You did a nice job on this.

Thanks, Charlie! I appreciate your comment! I'll be looking for yours on here! I can't seem to keep a Molotow pen from clogging up and that's why I don't use it. Also unless you clear it or something it will dull if any fingers touch it. So I use the pen just for touch-ups usually with a brush because the pen doesn't work.
