I am second guessing myself now on the interior color. I'm thinking it all looks to much the same color. Whatya all think??? Key Lime Pie!! I think the interior is perfect Bob.

Get that chrome on there, it's going to be a looker.

customline Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Wow, progress! I was caught up in the paint job thing and this thread got away from me?! That hardtop is a foil pig, ain't it? Good thing they provided the side chrome. It looks great! Party on!

Whatya all think??? I reckon its all good Bob, the exterior chrome will break up all the green. And once the interior tub is installed it will compliment the body.

Zippi Posted January 11, 2022 Author Posted January 11, 2022 (edited) I got the interior tub together and once again the decals for the dash fell apart once pulled out of the water. Had to use my Molotow chrome pen and some black wash. I tried to install the steering column and steering wheel but it was way to low. The steering wheel hits the seat. Going to have to make a modification to get it to look right. Still need to hit it with some Matte clear. Edited January 11, 2022 by Zippi 1

You just cut it out and glue it in place. I love 'em.you can also just cut the kit decal out too but not dip it, just glue it in like I did here. 1
TransAmMike Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Yep, I did an order with Best a while back. Very nice product.

Dont worry about it, just continue to post as per normal. Only difference is it will take a bit of time for posts to be approved. Stay on topic and be very mindful and cautious of the words you use. rightrudder Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Thanks for the heads up on those instrument decals...just ordered a set for the Bullet Bird project.

Doug, the instrument photo reductions pictured above are not decals. They are just high rez pictures on glossy photo paper that you cut out and glue in place.
rightrudder Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Thanks, Jim...I thought they were the water-slide type. No worries, as I'm fine with cutting them out. I'm absolutely terrible at trying to paint the tiny markings and needles on gauge faces, so these things are a godsend!

Cutting them out is no picnic either ? I use surgical blades for this and for foiling. I keep bandaids close by. ☺️
