ewetwo Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 (edited) I've had these since I was a kit. The Plymouth I repainted peach and white but wanted to restore it back to the original blue/white scheme. The Jag I brush painted dark blue but now it's back to the original maroon metallic. The police car was a mess so I re-painted it and made the decals out of regular printer paper. They came out pretty good. Edited January 20, 2022 by ewetwo
Geno Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Sweet, I really like the Plymouth but all of them look great.?
Earl Marischal Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Nicely done. Somewhere I have a Yellow Cab version of that Plymouth. I was always baffled as to why it had white tyres... steve
ewetwo Posted January 20, 2022 Author Posted January 20, 2022 Thank you Gene, Gary and Steve. I also have other Corgi and Dinky cars along with all my matchbox cars. Most in boxes. Firehouse. Yesteryears and city. I also restored the Honda motorcycle and trailer.
bisc63 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 A couple of questions about the police car above: What is the scale? (or size?) Are they hard to find? Is it a Dinky or Corgi? I ask because I'd like to find one! I have the real thing, a fixer-upper I bought last year. If you're not familiar with them, it's a 1961 Olds Super 88 4-door hardtop.
keyser Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Corgi 1/43. Man from uncle car, and police car iirc.

ewetwo Posted January 23, 2022 Author Posted January 23, 2022 Yes Rusty. Like Keyser said. Corgi 1/43. Here is another I have and a pic of all of them.

This City playset is an unusual thing, I can't recall seeing one before. Is it roughly of the smaller 1:64-ish scale?

The plastic they used back then gets brittle. Mine ins't in great shape because of that reason. it's roughly 3 X 5 ft when opened. And the center building with the red roof is a place to store about 12 cars.

peteski Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Nice job guys! I have a Lone Star Rolls Royce I want to restore. I stripped the paint off its body, but then the project stalled (I have too many projects going on).
