Cool Hand Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 (edited) Time to get this back on the bench. Started the kit in 2016, but like some of my others it stalled. Wheels. Current state of the parts. These pics are from when I set up the stance in 2016. Engine is already complete. Work that was previously done 2016. Modified the oob kit suspension to look like it has the hydraulic cylinders. Edited January 29, 2022 by Cool Hand 3
Cool Hand Posted January 29, 2022 Author Posted January 29, 2022 Continuing on with the previous work done. Opened the boot/trunk. Scratch built some hydraulic pumps and will be using Pegasus batteries. Now to try and pick it up and start again from where it stalled. 4
bisc63 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Cool project; love the '66s! Will be watching this one. 1
Mattilacken Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Sweet build! Those impalas are beautiful and your mods look good! I am no low rider fan but like the low stance ? 1

Thanks Anton, just hope I can remember how it all pieces back together. Not super low this one, probably say its at drive height. 1
David G. Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 This looks like it's going to be one great old school Low Rider! David G.

Cool Hand Posted January 29, 2022 Author Posted January 29, 2022 Applied what I call a light check coat of 1500 black surfacer. This help me to see all the mold lines, other issue's and what has been done. 3
rightrudder Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Crazy good work on that opening trunk and those scratchbuilt pumps! Body looks great in just the surfacer. Any idea what body color will be? With the lighting, it almost looks like a dark plum.
Cool Hand Posted January 30, 2022 Author Posted January 30, 2022 Thanks Douglas. 10 hours ago, rightrudder said: Any idea what body color will be? Thought it might have been obvious but.... same colour I use on all my Lowrider builds. Black.
Lowlife ! ! Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Great work on those pumps luke, they look great ! Loving this build so far mate , look forward to more !
Cool Hand Posted January 30, 2022 Author Posted January 30, 2022 Thanks Martin, knew the Lowrider builds would get your attention. Here is another pic trying out a different arrangement. 2
rightrudder Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Black is...the new black! I like the new battery/pump arrangement better. I've got a '65 Impala en route so your build is huge inspiration! I think I'll go the resto-mod route, but you know with these models, anything can happen.
slusher Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Great stance and engine! May I ask how did you make the engine stand Luke?

David G. Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 You nailed it with the stance and your choice of wheels. David G.
oldrevellfan Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Great job, love your scratch built pump !
