niteowl7710 Posted May 11, 2022 Author Posted May 11, 2022 Hopefully at some point someone will take a photo closer with not a potato, but this is the Revell Audi e-TRON GT 2
niteowl7710 Posted May 11, 2022 Author Posted May 11, 2022 Taking a quick spin around the PlatzmaBeemaNuNu stand...the back row are models we should see in 2022 including the Volvo BTCC, Audi A4 BTCC and 2008 E90 320i WTCC The middle tier of prototypes are a Alfa Romeo 155 (the Touring Car version, not the DTM monster), Rover SD1, 24hrs of Le Mans RX-7, and BMW 320i Gr. 5 Also on display is their upcoming 1/12 Lotus and first motorcycle project, something that's been talked about behind closed doors for awhile, and they also announced they will be doing another 1/12 F1 Car with a McLaren MP4/4. 2 1
Justin Porter Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 I am THRILLED for that Rover SD1! That's genuinely a really cool touring car subject to pick!
niteowl7710 Posted May 11, 2022 Author Posted May 11, 2022 Also for your fat fendered Lambo needs the Liberty Walk Aventador. Presuming no further silliness this should be released in June. 2

I'd like to claim full credit on that, but that would be fibbing. But suffice it to say I've been pushing for it to be done ever since it was peeking out of the corner at Macau chasing down Johnny Cecotto's 240 on the box art. Tom Walkinshaw is piloting the Rover and that's how they finished the race with the other team Volvo 240 (Thomas Lindstrom) finishing 3rd. Decals in the box to do both Volvos, and while the Rover is being tagged as a ETCC 1986 livery on the tag, if the Watson's livery isn't part of a 2n1 decal, it'll be out shortly thereafter from S.K. Decals.

Cool Hand Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Thanks, my bad for not going back a page. Sweet!! cant wait for this one now. Liberty Walk kits must sell well to keep producing new kits, they are up to 19 in series now. 4 hours ago, niteowl7710 said: Aoshima showing a prototype for an upcoming Liberty Walk Lamborghini Murcielago

I hope they didn't put the brakes in between the wheel halves again like on the r8 kits
niteowl7710 Posted May 12, 2022 Author Posted May 12, 2022 This morning from the Department of Left Field Department we got the debut of the new Meng 1/24 kit... 3

gasman Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 A pleasant surprise from Meng, nice to see they included an up top Tamiya is oddly silent, was expecting the new Z car, but nothing

And an odd choice. Bit of a mundane car, and you think there would be better selling choices. Kitting a Tesla, for instance, or a Lambo SUV. Edited May 12, 2022 by BVC500

Mr. Metallic Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I saw in the corner of one of the pics that ICM has a presence at the show. Wondering with everything going on in their home country what news they had to present at the show.

Hasegawa is their importer in Japan, so they themselves weren't actually there (although they are back up and running). 1

Chuck Kourouklis Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Z4 - ? Heh, that's way out there. I, of course, will register my skepticism of Meng's wisdom with a purchase. 1

They obviously have a working relationship (ie - paid them money) with BMW as this is their third BMW kit after the two motorcycles. I would not be surprised to see more BMW from Meng in the future.
