NOBLNG Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 (edited) Just finished this one. It’s a nice looking little kit, but it has a few issues. The paint is Premier Apple Red decanted and airbrushed, and the roof is Tamiya LP-1. Clear coat is Mr. Hobby UV Cut. AmericanMuscleFan Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Superb small Resto-Rod Greg, the assembly is first class. I really like the fact that you took the time to blacken the grille, it makes all the difference. With your background and the concrete surface it's hard not to mistake it for a real one and that's for me an indisputable mark of success! ?
happy grumpy Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Top notch Nova, I like the wheels and the red/black combo.

Not sure I’d go that far…but thank you for the compliments Francis! 52 minutes ago, bluestringer said: It's a beauty. Great stance. Nice job. I got lucky on the stance. It had a bit of a wobble so I had to “adjust” one front wheel a bit.? I think this kit is basically the same as the one you’re doing now, so check my build thread for the issues I had.

It came with these rims, a set of Cragar s/s rims, and factory hub caps.? Edited April 13, 2022 by NOBLNG
lazlow Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Good chose for the retro ride. i remember them now I had to go back and look at the box.
ea0863 Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Superb job on paintwork, and capturing all the little details. I find the dash to be the hardest part of my builds these days, and yours looks excellent.
Zippi Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Good looking 66 Nova. I really like that red & black. Came out really nice man.
espo Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Beautiful looking little Nova. Great paint and the interior is well detailed. The engine is kind of the center of the build to me anyway.

I had to remove the trans cross member I had already installed and trim the back side of the motor mounts to get the headers to clear enough to squeeze it in. Then replaced the cross member after I got it in.
bluestringer Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 I like the background in your photos, is that something you built? Thinking of trying to make something like that.

Thinking of trying to make something like that. It is just a three sided cardboard box and some craft paper from Michael’s. I have both red and white bricks and use the one which accents the model best. ? It’s not much, but better than having my workbench or washing machine in the background.? I have a service station kit, but have never put it together. Edited August 2, 2022 by NOBLNG 1
bisc63 Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Nice example of a simple yet effective background. Nice job, and thanks for sharing it!
Slotto Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 I do t know how I missed this one. Great color choices! That red really pops. Love all the details.
