tim boyd Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Rodney - Loaded with character, excellent workmanship, and tons of period correct detail. Bravo! Like others here, I also especially like your color choice. Way to go! TIM

Bucky Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Very well done! I could see a hot rod like this easing its way into our local cruise in parking lot! I'm surprised nobody has mentioned what appears to be a checkerboard firewall. Looks like a nice touch to me!

Yes, I acquired a few sheets of checkerboard decals many years ago and they still work and lay down nicely. Thanks for the compliment. This build was inspired by a 1:1 car I saw at a show several months ago. -RRR
Dragonhawk1066 Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Looks fantastic to me! I love that "Frog Green" mixture!
Dennis Lacy Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 I’ve looked and looked and fail to see any flaws? Glad you shared it cause the consensus is that it’s awesome! Looks like a Weesner painting brought to life. Absolutely killer, RRR!!!
Phildaupho Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 You really captured the old school show car vibe as did the build of the 1/1 that inspired your model. Bravo

What I really don't like is the placement of the engine. Too high up and too close to the firewall and too far away from the radiator. Poor engineering on my part. Kinda ruined it for me.... I'm glad all of y'all like it, tho. -RRR
Mr. Metallic Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Well I'm glad you shared it because it's a treat. Not a lot of finished hot rods shared on this board, especially to the level you always bring it. Love the color and the W motor.
alan barton Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Rodney, this really is a complete package. While the engine does sit high and well back, it suits the build - it adds a touch of drag car to a show car. It might not be what you expected but I don't think repositioning it would improve it at all. The colour combo is luscious! Cheers Alan
David G. Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 It does indeed look like a frog ready to spring! Excellent detail work and paint! Good job as far as I'm concerned. David G.
