avidinha Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 I thought it would be fun to make this old Johan kit into a hotrod. It has the independent front suspension from an AMT '32 Ford Phantom Vickie, the independent rear suspension from an AMT '34 Ford, the wheels and rear tires are from a Revell Escalade, the front tires and spare wheels are from a Revell Monte Carlo SS. I tubbed the rear fenders for wheel clearance and grabbed a plate from my spares box. 7
BIGTRUCK Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Way to think outside the box, I really like the way it turned out.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Hey, every thing is a candidate for hot rodding! Cool
mustang1989 Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Nifty looking Caddy Andrew. Love the mods to get it look like that.
espo Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Great looking Caddy. I like the way you modernized the suspension and the wheels and tires.
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Very nice. I have this kit in the stash and haven't built it yet because I'm debating whether to go stock or hotrod. I was leaning towards stock until now. Looks good.
