Can-Con Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 (edited) Why "street rod" and not "hot rod"? Well, because this came out more of a '70s boulevard cruiser then hot rod. AMT body, fenders etc. with Revell chassis and most of the interior. A dual quad " '69 Z-28 302" was assembled from the parts box . Paint is Tamiya black spray and dull coated HOK snow white pearl on the upholstery. Details with Testors bottle paints. https://public.fotki.com/SteveMilberry/projects/black-29-ford-roadster/ Edited January 2, 2023 by Can-Con 6
mustang1989 Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Classy build with lots of details and shine. Love the stance as well as the wheel/ tire selection for this one. 1
TarheelRick Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Definitely one fine looking street cruiser. Beautiful paint work and those wire wheels really look good. Beautiful piece of work. 1
Joe Nunes Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Now this looks like a fun ride on the street. Well done! ? Joe 1
Plowboy Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 That is a really nice looking Roadster Steve! It has a look that's timeless! It's too bad Revell didn't see fit to engineer their kit so that it could have a hood and fenders. They really make this model! 1
Bullybeef Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Great kit bash, I had wondered if the underpinnings from Revell would work with an amt body and fenders. 1

It takes some cutt'n and grind'n and re-engineering, they don't want to play well together. But that's what hotrodding's about, right? Edited January 2, 2023 by Can-Con 1

espo Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Beautifully done, the wire wheels and white exhaust manifolds do put it in the '70's. Great looking paint and cleanly detailed. 1
Can-Con Posted January 2, 2023 Author Posted January 2, 2023 Thanks everyone. Just wish my pics were better for you. I think my old Canon may have been dropped one too many times. ?
Flatout Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Great looking Model A Steve….nice job getting the Revell chassis under the AMT fenders. The stance and wheel n tire choice really make this one stand out. 1
