cifenet
Nice details you are working on, looking good! These small details do matter, I think all of these definitely will improve the overall look. It may look delicate, but the rod size looks perfect for the mirror application as well.
gotnitro?
Thanks Steve ! I was trying to keep everything to scale by doing them w rod. I mocked up a white metal set first, but didn't care for the look. I found a set of ultra rare mirrors w mounts w the right curvature for the 2 part side mirrors I wanted to replicate. They probably came from an Ollie's 4300 kit.. I removed the molded on mounts, sanded the back smooth, then cut them about 1/4" wide. Each side gets 2 heads. Heres the real deal How they began... After the chopper.. I need to replace one edge after chopping them, probably a strip of square rod will work. Thanks for riding along!
Warren D
I use 0.032 brass rod for mirrors. Bends well with round nose pliers.

gotnitro?
Progress on the bus..3d printed steps I purchased from moluminum and wrapped up the mirrors down to the last bits till I shelve it awhile. The DT466 engine I wanted is being cast by a fellow modeler, and once its done I'll wrap this up
Mopar - D
Jeff you have this one looking awesome! Your in-laws may want to consider placing it in a different place if they use the fireplace. Around the fireplace mantle it can get pretty hot and you wouldn’t want it to get mess up.

I heard Daniel was working up the molds this week ! Our truck/ equipment builders will have another engine option. This wouldn't have been possible without the kindness of our member Tom Decker aka @redneckrigger offering his support. 11 hours ago, J.B. Buses here in NC had stop arms and child protection arms on the front bumper since at least 1998 when I started driving, and I am fairly sure a few years before that. gotnitro?
@Mopar - D- your anti - glare light covers are finished! I curled up a few scraps of brass etch for the light covers . While I was working on the front, I started building a set of wipers. Thanks for following along Edited June 18, 2023 by gotnitro?
